Hope Irving is an indie author who’s lived in Paris, France most of her life (she’s French, by the way).
That’s where she currently resides with her supportive husband and creative teenage daughter, who are both involved in the world that she created for her debut series, The Black Angel Book, as is her soul sister from the other side of the ocean.
With friends and relatives in the U.S., she’s been drawn to this country from an early age and ended up living in Texas for a while, where she graduated with an MBA.
Although French is her mother tongue, she chose to write her novels in English to allow herself to freely express her creativity without fear of being influenced or judged, and also because it simply felt right for her characters.
A natural introvert, she loves her superpower of turning weak coffee (no cream, no sugar, please) into rollercoaster books while listening to great tunes that set the mood for each chapter.
Despite her penchant for flawed characters and suspenseful stories with a hint of darkness, her heart still melts when love conquers all. That must be why she crafted a dark, twisted fairytale series that defies boxes and genres.
She’s an avid reader with eclectic tastes, from S.E. Hinton to Choderlos de Laclos, and who could forget Anne Rice or Erin Morgenstern? She’s a prolific author who’s never endured writer’s block (fingers crossed) and a “name that tune” addict (don’t you dare try to win!).
When she’s not reading or writing, she enjoys stalking certain hot models and discovering new potential obsessions on IG (claiming that it’s for cover research purposes or storyline inspiration).
