Why are the curtains pink?

The curtains are blue
Okay, so let’s say the cover of my book, Twice Upon A Time, is now the curtains we’re talking about. My curtains are pink for a few reasons that might be of interest to the said English teacher.
First, the book as a girly feeling (to some extent). Second, the main female character is French-American Rose and ‘rose’ also means ‘pink’ in French.
Third, I like that color because it remains me of Barbie, the ambassadress of girl power… if you doubt this, you should watch every single Barbie movies: not the mindless blond you might think, girl power, I’m telling you.
That is why I wanted Rose and her unorthodox story to be wrapped up in pink.
